House league – this is for 2nd -4th graders. We will have one weekday practice with 1 or 2 games on Sundays from late March through May. Kids will be broken up into teams and they will get jerseys and permanent team assignments. All practices and games will be in the township. Game format is 6 v 6, everyone plays, everyone takes turns playing goalie and we will use a softer “pinkie” ball. Goal is to have fun, learn the fundamentals and make friends. Coaches will be a combination of parents and Local HS lacrosse players.
Lower Merion Township, Ashbee Lacrosse Travel Teams
C1-for advanced 3rd and strong 4th graders. We will only field a C1 team if we can have at least 18 kids that compete with the best players of other townships. 2 practices a week and games on Sundays, Travel is limited to the SEPYLA area so everything is within 45 minutes. If your child tries out for C1 and we feel he is a better fit for house, we will refund the difference in cost. Advanced 3rd graders only.
B1 and B2 Travel -for 5th and 6th graders competing in SEPYLA, 2 weekday practices and games on Sundays. Evaluations will be late Feb with season from mid March to early June. Most travel clubs have lighter schedules so it shouldn’t interfere with other Lacrosse programs and for your boys that play other sports, it’s a great chance to develop athletically and avoid burn out from year around sports.
A1-A2 travel 7th and 8th graders have 2 practices a week but we only mandate you make one practice to allow for middle school and club sports to not interfere. Games on Sundays.
